This is my understanding of the 2 days seminar: The soul is eternal. It existed before its birth or awakening in a human body, it exists while in the human body, and it will exist after death. The purpose of life is for the soul to attain “godliness”. We are thankful to God for our birth and life because He has given the soul the opportunity to attain godliness.
If this is all correct of my understanding of the 2 days, then can you please shed light on a baby’s or child’s death – the purpose behind that. This soul did not have the chance to attain godliness. Why? A baby/child is innocent of any sins so by depriving the soul in these bodies, it seems like the soul is being “punished” or is there another explanation for this?
What if death is a doorway to other greater opportunities for such souls, and what if there is no uniformity in the understanding of death. Variety of people die whilst receiving greater opportunities whilst for others the books will be closed, and perhaps for others given the opportunity to return back to this earth and relive a life when the opportunity has been snatched – The Qur’an leaves windows for such interpretations open
